Mistakes to avoid during jamb registration

‎mistakes to avoid during jamb registration ‎

‎These are the common mistakes to avoid so you won't repeat them and have a bad Jamb experience.

‎I have worked in a cyber cafe and have had many experience of common mistakes Jamb candidates makes, even ones that ruin some people educational dreams.

Here are the most common mistakes that Jamb candidates always do:

‎• Wrong subject combination

‎Selecting a wrong subject combination is one of the common mistakes candidates makes during registration.

‎Every course has it's own subject combination, which when mistaken, my brother / my sister, research shows it means you may not qualify for that course admission.

‎Make sure your subject combination is correct for your preferred course.

• ‎Incorrect personal information

‎If you make a mistake in you data/ personal information, it will be different with what you have in your other documents.

‎Always cross check the information you enter.

• ‎Inactive email address or phone number

‎Your email and phone number is where you receive your personal pin, password and your Jamb results.

I made a mistake of registering with a wrong email address and I couldn't receive my password to log into my jamb portal. It was really frustrating but I escaped it with the SMS format.

‎Always use a correct / active email and phone number or use your parent's own.

• ‎Not having a National Identification Number (NIN)

‎The NIN is mandatory for JAMB registration. Visit a National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) enrollment center to obtain your NIN if you don’t have one already. You can’t proceed with your registration if you don’t have a valid NIN.

• ‎Registering at unaccredited centres

‎Only register at accredited Jamb centers.

‎Completing your registration at unaccredited centers can lead to invalid registration. You can also be scammed by dubious agents. Always use JAMB-accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres for registration.

• Last minute registration

‎Go for your registration on time to avoid rush and panic, because it will lead to mistakes and error.

‎Make hay while the sun shines.

‎• Uploading incorrect O’Level results

‎Ensure that the O’Level results you upload are accurate and correspond to the subjects required for your chosen course. Error can lead to disqualification.

• ‎Registering at unaccredited centres

‎Registration at unaccredited centers can lead to invalid registration. Make sure that where you are registering is approved by JambYou. They are may also scammers who pose as agents to dupe you. Always use JAMB-accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres for registration.
